Record growth in August, for Toulouse-Blagnac airport: +23.1%, for 792,781 passengers, a previously unseen level of growth. This increase is based on the success of the Spring-Summer offer, particularly for international flights (+38.6%). With over 350,000 passengers, the low-cost sector now represents 44.6% of total traffic: another record.

PASSENGERS
Domestic traffic: 279,665 passengers (+2.1%).
Traffic with the capital is down (-2.7%), the growth for Paris-CDG (+6.5%) only partially compensates for the decrease for Paris-Orly
(-8.6%). The greatest regional increases are for Bastia (+34.5%), Lyon (+21%), Lille (+16.1%), Rennes (+14.9%) and Ajaccio (+10.6%).
International traffic: 508,266 passengers (+38.6%).
Scheduled traffic for the Schengen area continues to experience strong growth (+50.9%). Amsterdam is the number one Schengen destination with 28,941 passengers (+17.8%), followed by Madrid with 28,169 passengers (+201%, or three times more than in August 2016), then Brussels with 25,390 passengers (+61.9%) and Lisbon with 21,941 passengers (+79.2%).
Athens, with over 10,000 passengers in August, boasts record growth of 246%; Lisbon also displays a strong increase (+72.6%). Outside of Schengen, growth (+41.1%) is driven by the London airports.
Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted together total 83,000 passengers. Traffic for North Africa continues to rise (+17.4%), with particularly strong growth for Morocco (+38.4%) and Tunisia (+29.2%). Algeria has also returned to positive figures (+1.1%).
Charter traffic continues to fall (-23.6%, 16,495 passengers).
FREIGHT AND POSTAL TRAFFIC
Freight and postal traffic increased by 11.2%, with 4,642 tonnes handled.
COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT MOVEMENTS
The number of movements is on the rise (+13.6%), with 6,761 movements carried out. The average carrying capacity per flight is 126 passengers, significantly higher than that of August 2016 (117 passengers per flight).
