Flybe & Singapore Airlines announce new codeshare partnership

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today (29^th November, 2016) announced that Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines has become its 11th codeshare partner. This means that starting this winter, regional customers using Flybe’s multi-frequency services from five UK airports including Aberdeen, Manchester and Southampton, and two mainland European airports, can book seamless onward flights to over 100 Singapore Airlines’ long haul destinations throughout SE Asia, Australasia and now to the United States via Manchester.

For those taking advantage of Flybe’s Manchester hub connections, Singapore Airlines’ long-standing service from there to Singapore has recently been complemented by its first ever transatlantic route between Manchester and Houston. Flybe is the largest scheduled airline measured by air traffic movements at Manchester Airport whilst Singapore Airlines is its longest serving long-haul international carrier.

The new partnership also opens up additional connections via Paris Charles de Gaulle and Dusseldorf, and several of the originating cities included can now connect to Singapore Airlines’ vast array of destinations for the first time.

Additional cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Isle of Man, Exeter and London City are also available through an interline agreement between the two carriers.
